Monkeying Around

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

I had a lovely morning chatting to you O’H dear. You have now been made aware of ‘Phillygate’*.

The Mini Princesses are back at school now so I am back to having Mondays to myself. I had a very pleasant afternoon cooking and singing. I doubled a recipe but didn’t realise how much it was going to produce. Looks like it’s going to be bolognaise month in our house!

The Prince and I went to see Nina Conti tonight which was good. Not amazing but still good. I think the way she improvises huge chunks is very clever and it was definitely worth seeing. We decided to have a quick pint after the show which felt a bit naughty because we had told the Mini Princesses that we would be back after the show and we were half an hour late. I now worry about getting a row from my children instead of my parents!

PS Today’s picture is from Blackford Hill in one of the areas damaged by the grass fire there last month.

*last week, some cream cheese fell out of my roll at work and rather unfortunately landed on the crotch of my trousers. The only thing available to help clean it off was the paper hand towels in the loo which then unhelpfully disintegrated on the trousers making the whole situation ten times worse. I ended up going out and buy wet wipes. At least then I just looked like I had peed myself!
