Mushroom

I'm not sure if this is THE Mushroom Rock at Brimham, but it's certainly a mushroom rock. (Post script: according to the leaflet, this one is known as Druid's Writing Desk.)

Thanks to the archive that is Blipfoto I know it is almost exactly seven years since my last visit and 10yo and 13yo have done a lot of growing in that time. It was a similar occasion though, with Sister #1 collecting us and driving us up, Sister #2 meeting us there and Niece #4, Nephew #4, and Great-nephew #1 completing the gathering. There was much scrambling up and over rocks.

The rain started to set in after lunch, and we'd done one circuit, so we decamped to neighbouring Fountains Abbey for the afternoon where we made the most of the architecture (extra).
