Whistle Rock

Woke up to a lovely view of the lake, ate a nice breakfast served by the friendliest waiter y’all have ever seen! Walked around the lake, not masses to see as it was incredibly misty but it made it all much more dramatic and mesmerising. On the road again to Blowing Rock. Drove partway down the Blue Ridge Parkway which had good views but not quite as good compared to Skyline Drive. Arrived at the Alpine Inn just as a thunderstorm hit. Eventually made it into the little town of Blowing Rock to have a nice dinner at the local Tavern followed by the best ice cream from another cute village shop.
