Skyline Drive

And we’re in the Mountains!

Today we drove most of the Skyline Drive, over and along the Shenandoah River; country radio blaring away! I loved it!!!

We stopped often to see the views, and for a ‘moderate’ hike to Dark Hollows Falls, which were well worth the trek! We ended the drive on the interstate and made it to Hotel 3 in time for a late dinner at the beautiful Peaks of Otter Lodge, where we had a lovely meal at a table overlooking the lake. The accents are changing to an awesome southern drawl- “Yes, Ma’am, No, Sir! Enjoy you meal now, y’all!!!”

Oh, and we actually saw a bear in the woods! So cute!!!
