The Finale

We had breakfast in the Grand Place again this morning and then went to see the Janneke Pis, Zinneke Pis and finally the Manekin Pis which we were lucky to see in one of his little outfits (see extras).

We came across a fantastic old building that had a glass roof and we went inside to have a look - it was an old swimming pool building that’s been converted into a bar/cafe and is used for exhibitions. The current exhibition is  swim caps from years ago and there were lots of black and white photos of people modelling them.

We met Matt & Margaux at 12.30pm and spent a few hours with them and on our way back we stopped off at one of Brussels very quirky bars for a beer.  Back home to get showered and changed before heading back out to meet them for dinner.

We had a lovely evening and got our Uber to drop us off at the Grand Place to watch the sound and light show again, the buildings looked fantastic all lit up.

From there we went to Delirium which is probably one of the biggest bars in Brussels having about 3,000 beers - we only had one though!  Then we made our way home via the Galleries St Hubert and there was a little champagne bar with funky yellow chairs outside.  We decided to stop for a night cap, and were sat outside until an alarm went off and the guy suggested we go inside.  There were only two other people in there who were known to him and we had a lovely time chatting in French.  

It ended up being a rather late night, but it was a great finale to our trip.
