Public safety

Yesterday was the first Anniversary of the terror attack in Las Ramblas, Barcelona........
As a result of this attack.....and with similar “drive by” attacks in Nice, Berlin and London.....
most large towns and cities have taken measures to protect the Public, especially in pedestrianised areas.....where vehicles can enter, gain speed and do damage

And here in Benidorm, with thousands of visitors in the summer months, Public safety is of paramount importance

My Blip shows the ‘blockade’ to Calle Gambo, one of the main pedestianised routes in the town......always busy with shoppers, and with hundreds of customers sitting in the street, at the many bars and cafes

The 3 large, heavy, fixed planters are backed by an advertising hoarding/ sales cabin for a Benidorm water park.......
A blockade for any car/ van/ lorry which tries to enter ........

The main purpose is obviously safety
.....but it isn’t shouting “security”
