Today's the day …………………………. for biomass

Spent a couple of hours in the garden this afternoon, hacking back the vegetation that has finished flowering.  I had four loads-worth of my big plastic bucket which completely filled the green bin.  There's been a lot of growing going on this summer despite the lack of rainfall! 

The grapes on the outdoor vine are looking good too.  I'm sure it was just their sort of weather - but it will be a fight between us and the birds from now on, to see who gets most of them.  It was a most satisfying way to spend an afternoon - but now I'm ready for a glass of something connected with a grapevine and a sit down.
