Red kite (not owl) attack in Edinburgh

I had a lovely day in Edinburgh where I had my own personal guide for the day in the form of blipper, Coinneach1.

We spent a happy time exploring the city centre and drinking lots of tea and coffee at regular intervals throughout the day.

Here is one of the unusual things you see in the city if you look up enough. The photos from directly below were OK, but this view from the top of a flight of stairs was much better.

I hope that next time we meet I will be able to be the guide in Newcastle.

PS Thanks to Eco Dad for pointing out this is a kite not an owl (whoops). We have these in the Derwent Valley now.
