Evening Sky
A warm, dry day
A busy afternoon with the Listening Service. I never cease to be humbled by how much people open up and tell me things they have never been able to tell anyone else - and to see the movement from despair to a measure of hope because someone has listened, understood and has given them reason to believe they can start again.
Later on, after dinner, I noticed this beautiful evening sky - it seemed to whisper - calm, light is coming even as darkness falls. I saw the launch of the space craft which set off on its journey to the sun, which may be the brightest and most powerful star in our Constellation but the humble Moon has amazing properties of its own and life would be so different without it. It reminds me that we may not all be 'superstars' in our world but we can all quietly be influencers for good among the people we interact with each day.
Speaking of which, it is only 'two more sleeps' until the Dundee Kiltwalk when my family and I will be walking to raise money for Children's Hospices Across Scotland, which my daughter (Blipper Linda59 ) has worked with for a number of years, providing care for children with life limiting illnesses. It is not too late to donate, if you would like, and you can do it online here .
