Stages...

Dear Diary,

My trumpet vine has bloomed beautifully this year.  Huge clusters of the flowers cover the vine.  I guess I am still thinking about adapting to the changes growing older bring when I photographed this cluster.  All four stages of the trumpets life are here.  The two young buds ready to bloom, the four in full bloom, the two withered old ones and the many that have "passed on"...released their trumpets.  In fact, just as I clicked the shutter one trumpet fell off right before me...quite on cue I'd say.  There it is, the trumpets full life cycle contained in one cluster.
