Iberian Adventure Day 12

Technically we were nowhere near the Iberian Peninsula today but as we didn’t get home until 8pm, I’m included it as part of the holiday :-D

We all slept well and awoke well enough to face the big buffet breakfast in the posh restaurant! Unfortunately a fire in the self service cafe meant we were delayed quite a while so it was more of a big buffet brunch!!

The sea was like a millpond and we all felt fine, such a relief! The blip was taken on the top deck which was full of people who watch for Orcas. Apparently the Bay of Biscay in August is super for whale and dolphin watching. Anyway, we didn’t see any because apparently it was too cold/windy/sunny/boring to wait on deck so we found a spot in the piano bar and played games all afternoon until we eventually docked in Plymouth just after 5.

Knowing the fireworks were on, we opted to go home via the Torpoint Ferry. Normally a treat but even MrRoly was reluctant to get out but Smallest made him. Home via the Chinese takeaway. What a brilliant holiday we have had.
