Winchcombe
My sister and I had a slow morning at the campsite, and this afternoon we drove the short distance into Winchcombe to look around. At the time it felt like we were having a lazy day but in reflection I realise we packed quite a bit in.
We went to an antiques arcade - looked around a little bit but we mainly went to have lunch followed by tea and cake in their little tea room. It was delicious and I loved its coziness (First extra photo).
After lunch we drove to the Winchcombe pottery which is quite famous and has been around since 1800. We enjoyed watching one of the potters create one of their classic jugs. He was happy to explain the process and answer questions (second extra photo).
For the last couple of hours we just mooched around the town and window shopped and took pictures. I love the variety of old houses just along the High Street. The sun came out and it ended up being quite warm although still windy.
This evening was Pizza night at the campsite - a different man than the people who visit the campsite in Cirencester (from a few days ago). A different kind of pizza but also delicious.
A tiring but fun day. I’m ready for an early night!
