Mist Over Quendale

A change in the weather!  Cloudy first thing, and then mist came down and so did the rain.  Rained for a while, and then dried up before teatime.  Fairly dry evening, some light showers, and still cloudy.

I've been back at the Croft House Museum all day, and a busy morning with a cruise ship in Lerwick.  Most visitors who weren't on the ship, they stayed a long while with me, and hopefully learning our crofting heritage.  I managed to get out with Sammy after tea, and it stayed fairly dry for our big walk.  Off to work in the pub later.

I had a short lunch break, due to visitors not wanting to leave at 1pm.  So a quick run about in the car and away from the smokey fire.  The mist lifted after tea, but during lunchtime, I couldn't see far in places.  As I stopped off here, you could see the mist coming down from the hills.  Looking towards Quendale House and Quendale Mill.  The old house now in disrepair, but no loss there.  The Laird who lived here was a nasty man, and cleared many families from the area in the 1800s.  Quendale Mill is now a visitor centre run by the local history group.
