Merrick at Sleeping Bear

We took off this afternoon from Cousin Billy's house, and drove North for about 90 minutes. We ended up at Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. Part of the lakeshore is a HUGE sand dune that reaches all the way down to Lake Michigan.

Of course, Merrick wanted to go down. But, there is a sign at the top that says...THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING DOWN...IT CAN TAKE UP TO TWO HOURS TO CLIMB BACK UP! PLUS...YOU WILL PAY FOR THE RESCUE! So, we didn't let him go down.

We returned to cousin Billy's house to spend another night.
