Definitely Not Sour Grapes
I'd never heard of the Oechsle scale before today. And unless you're some sort of oenophile, I suspect that you haven't either. It forms the basis of (most) wine classifaction in Germany. It measures grape ripeness and sugar content. The "must-weight".
And it was named after Ferdinand Oechsle who bizarrely was a goldsmith and the owner of a mechanical workshop.
What I'm trying to write i that these grapes would probably score quite high on the Oechsle Scale. Incredibly sweet. And home grown.
And your trivia question what do James Baldwin, Peter Benchley, Lewis Carroll, Jean Genet, Marshall McLuhan, H.G. Wells, David Byrne,
Glen Campbell, Kurt Cobain, Phil Collins, Billy Corgan, Don & Phil Everly, Jimi Hendrix, Isaac Hayes, Robert Plant, Cole Porter, Sergei Rachmaninoff, John Lydon, Ringo Starr, Paul Simon , Albrecht Dürer,
M.C. Escher, Hans Holbein, Paul Klee, Michelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo da Vinci, Whoopie Goldberg, Betty Grable, Cary Grant, Mark Hamill, Olivia de Havilland, Greta Garbo, Tippi Hedren, Diane Keaton, Nicole Kidman, Lisa Kudrow, Shirley MacLaine, Marilyn Monroe, Kim Novak, Julia Roberts, Eva Marie Saint, Emma Thompson, Rip Torn, Käthe Kollwitz & Peter Ustinov have in common?
They were all left handed and today is International Left Handers Day. One of those things.I never knew existed.
