Nightcrawler

On an early morning walk I noticed the low sun angle illuminating a nightcrawler.

The nightcrawler had nearly made it back to a neighbor's lawn having successfully crossed the road (don't ask me why).

I found this worm's shadow and how the sunlight is shining right through it intriguing.

These critters are certainly the unsung heroes in our gardens.
