Indian Princesses

My co-worker shared an old postcard with me today.

At sixteen years of age she was barrel racing her horse at the Tygh Valley rodeo in the summer of 1962 . She then dressed up in her traditional costume along with her horse for the parade.

This picture postcard photo was taken of she and her friends at the rodeo that day. My co-worker friend is in the center of the photo.

She was a Queen of the rodeo in 1962. It is pretty cool to work with a Rodeo Queen in the present day.
