Finger food
After baby sensory this morning we went to caterpillars where there was a talk about weaning going on. After giving mummy some tips on cams new found love for all things mushy it was of home to try cam out on some finger food so the lazy could feed himself for a change.
The carrots were steamed and offered to our discerning customer. At first he insisted mummy feed him, doing a great baby bird impression. When he didn't get his own way we gave up for a while whilst cole and his mummy came to visit us. The boys played and but it was scary watching cole zip about the place (mainly backwards) knowing in a couple of months, cam will be doing the same.
After they left it was time to try the carrots again whilst he ate dinner for the first time (three meals a day now, that's more then mummy) but the slimy orange things got looked at in disgust and promptly thrown on the floor.
When daddy came home later we decided to try again before consisting defeat but it shows third time lucky! He quickly picked up the carrots (fresh batch I might add) and they headed straight for his mouth and bit of some surprisingly large chunks. He seemed to really enjoy himself in the end, especially mushing it in his hands.
See daddy, mummy's stubbornness comes in handy sometimes!
