I wandered lonely as a cloud.....

Having had a lazy morning we picked a walk centered around Rydal Water which is where Wordsworth had spent a large part of his life. This was supposed to be a level walk around the lake but we bumped into a couple who pointed out the directions to Rydal Cave.

To be fair it was only a slight climb and the cave is impressive, an extra is of Murphy listening to his Mum singing from within. There is also part of the rock structure of the wall at the back of the cave.

We then walked past Wordsworth's house and along a path which is part of the Coffin Trail, a route used in bygone times to take the dead to be buried in St Oswald's Church, Grassmere.

It has been another lovely day.
