Chelsea Buns 2
With new ingredients we had another go at the Chelsea Buns - the difference is remarkable - and it fitted in well with our plans for the day.
.
During the rising time we all went out to the pantomime Dick Whittington, (see extra and map) which had a large cast, well written with something for all ages, good costumes and audience interaction.
When home, and after lunch, we shaped the dough into buns, with lots of filling and left ithem to rest while we lined up all the elephants in the front room, then popped the baking into the oven for a quarter of an hour while more animals joined the line.
All important work done we repaired to the playpark for serious climbing practice, returning home as the rain began.
This recipe makes fewer, but larger, buns, we made some with cherries for Miss Flum, who doesn't eat vine fruit. And they are delicious (but bad for the diet...)
