The Green Dragon.
A traditional 17thC village pub in Chesterton, Cambs. Among it's regulars in the 1930's was Joachim von Ribbentrop, who had a weekend home in a publess village nearby, and was Nazi Germany's ambassador to London, and later Adolph Hitler's Foreign Minister. Another two infamous regulars were the Cambridge spies, Guy Burgess and Donald Maclean who defected to the Soviet Union, after a tip off from Kim Philby, also a spy, that they were about to be questioned. All recruited at Cambridge University. Also as small children, the princesses Elizabeth and Margaret played in the garden with the landlord's young daughter when the groom they were with called in there. A not so quiet village pub steeped in history.
