Small But Feisty - Small Copper

This is the first Small Copper butterfly I've seen in my garden. They really are small (just over 3cm long) but feisty; they'll chase off other insects trying to muscle in on the plant they're feeding from. Small but tough!

Hot and sultry today (30C in the garden) though not so ridiculously hot as parts of mainland Europe.
