There is a season (tern, tern, tern)
Time to leave Anglesey. We called at Cemlyn Bay to see the colony of terns, an important breeding place for a number of species of the birds. I think that this is a Sandwich Tern.
The extra is of a couple of birds coming into the colony, one with fish for the chicks. When I looked at the photos on the computer I spotted a black-headed gull tearing a tern chick to bits but needless to say I didn't want to blip that. The extra is of the colony which can be heard long before it comes into view!
We then went down the east coast of the island having a walk around Moelfre on the way back to the mainland and home.
It has been a most enjoyable short break, Anglesey is a place that I always enjoy visiting.
