Finger Post
This is outside the Bassett's Pole Pub and denotes the tri-point boundary between the counties of Warwickshire, Staffordshire and the West Midlands. The original marker was placed here by Lord Bassett of Drayton in the reign of King John in 1201. It proved essential at the time because of the feuding over the land by two local families.
