space

We need more space. In order for this simple sounding statement to occur we decided that the DVD collection was up for the guillotine. Films were graded into;
1. Mine/Mikes/not ours (if not ours, whose? and if we can remember whose their are, do they want them back, and oh shit we forgot to give that one back!)?
2. essential to keep
3. possibles to keep
4. not wanted by us, but possibly by family
5. not wanted
6. charity shop or sell?
7. arrrhhhhhhhh!!

The best bit was taking them out of the boxes and putting them into a CD case. A huge pile from box and shelf was reduced to living in a case that it easy to flip through. Marvelous.
My film watching habits are changing and we don't seem to buy DVD's really now. It's via the computer and very occasionally the TV. Plus new austerity measures are being implemented on this household, one can't go swanning off to NZ for 3 months without serious impact on the sweetie & DVD money!
Hubs was very impressed with the cull (he's not one to hang on to these sort of things, he prefers boxes of ancient ropes, climbing equipment, juggling bats from a previous life)! He had however almost expired by the end of it......it was tedious! Mumma cat was highly interested in proceedings, anything spread out on the floor seems irresistible to her, except Mike.
