Ballydehob hillside

Took a walk along the ridge by Mt Corrin with Hubs and Claire. We blew away a few cobwebs as the sunny warm still day turned into a chilly blustery afternoon, it was well worth the exploration as the path took us into a thick forest where the trees were draped and dripping in long fronds of tree moss, everywhere we looked. The trees were very Ent like. It felt especially creepy as we'd left the noisy, windy hillside behind and entered into this silent and eerie woodland in a matter of a few steps. I was glad I had company! The light was very tricky, I just couldn't catch the spirit of the place, so plumed for the relative warm feeling of the dry fernane grass outside the forest entrance.
The evening was spent with good friends in their warm, cosy, funky cottage having roast lamb and steamed sponge pudding, while a rainy November night drizzled away to itself. Home to bed happy and full, tomorrow will be a fast day.
