Natural History Museum London

A wonderful day out with Mum - our annual trip to the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at the NHM, then on to Hollywood Costumes at the V & A. The photos were fantastic as usual, and inspirational. Don't think I'm ever going to go to quite the extremes that a number of winners did - hours standing in water, days on end in hides, long hikes in deep snow, hanging out of planes, off boats, snorkelling with sealions or in holes in the ice in Antartica, customing building flashes..... The Costume exhibition fascinating - it was set out in a way that explained the process of costume design and made those on show come alive - really good. Quite exciting too to see Dorothy's ruby slippers and the dress that billowed up around Marilyn in the flesh!
