Gratitude

So today was another day that the global warming microwave was set to high. I walked in from an air conditioned car (grateful) to a 37 degree furnace of an office. As I sat down my arms pathetically gave up living and melted into the desk. There are several people off sick, the windows barely open, fans have to be sourced from already stretched budgets and are therefore scarce. What a time to be alive.

We walked out and sniffed out an air conditioned classroom in the main building. The minute we walked in the cool air was absolute heaven (grateful) and the relief from the oppressive heat was immediate. We felt human again.

Took a walk outside at lunchtime to meet up for lunch with friends. The pub was air conditioned (grateful). Utter bliss.

Whoever came up with this air conditioning mullarkey, believe it or not, I am hugely grateful.
