Hot

A really hot day for up here with temperatures reaching over 25 degrees on our thermometer.
Mike had an early start to get to the airport for a days business trip to London.The flight was delayed on the way back but probably still quicker than his journey back from work in the ‘old days’ on the M25 ;)
I had some paper work to do and some housework and then spent the rest of the day in the garden.Lots of butterflies around including this speckled wood that landed briefly in front of me. I counted 6 small tortoise shells on the buddleia,one peacock,large white and a meadow brown .I entered my findings on the Big Butterfly Count .The light was catching a cobweb early on and it looks like we’ll be having a bumper crop of blackberries :)
Received a lovely thank you letter from Bees for development and a few fluffy bees and leaflets :)
