This is the date when.........

23rdJuly - one of my special dates – remembered each year as ‘the date when……
Today is 55 years since I got the letter from the Pharmaceutical Society, on 23rdJuly 1963,  telling me I had passed my finals and was eligible to use the letters PhC and MPS after my name.
News spread quickly and within a very few days I had received all these cards, letters, and even a greetings telegram from friends, relations and colleagues.
Somehow I can’t imagine the present generation feeling as nostalgic over their emails and facebook comments in 50 or so years as I did today looking at and re-reading these from my scrapbook.
