Butterfly day!
Today was the day the butterflies came to the Buddleia. I could see them from indoors and when I got out there there were loads of them but mostly closed up so they were only showing the underside of their wings with just occasional flashes of colour as they briefly opened their wings. It was so frustrating - I stood there for 30 minutes, took 99 shots and only a handful actually showed the open wings. I think it was because it was windy. I did spot three types of butterfly, though, Peacock, Tortoiseshell (see extras) and Red Admiral.(above). Lovely to see so many - it didn't happen last year.
