Cat and fiddle

You've heard the name on the travel news especially when the road is closed due to snow. Today it was my route to Buxton to meet Elspeth and Elaine, I drove. The trains are bonkers at the moment 2 and a half hours to get there with a change from Manchester Victoria to Piccadilly taking 44 mins it would take 15 mins to walk!!!!! We had a lovely time and Elaine brought her lovely daughter Laura who has just qualified with a first class honours degree in nursing, she can't wait to start as a neonatal nurse in Nottingham.
We had a lovely lunch, catch up and then tea and cake in our favourite place . A longer journey home but I still beat the train!
