Glasdrum Wood
Our friends packed up and left quite smartly this morning to get home but Cameraman and I are staying on in Argyll for another couple of nights. After leaving our weekend accommodation we stopped at the Glasdrum Wood National Nature Reserve to marvel at the oak trees and other beautiful specimens. Terrific lichens too (extra). We were having the kind of weather which keeps Argyll green and walking in the woods was perfect. By way of contrast we then stopped at Benderloch and had a walk along the beach which was surprisingly bracing. We sat long enough to eat a sandwich but it wasn't sunbathing weather. We're now installed in the Oyster Inn at Connel where I am looking forward to a long bath. I'm currently enjoying the WiFi as I sit looking out to Loch Etive. We've stayed here before when Cameraman has been working in Oban so it's all working out well.
Thanks for all the comments and stars over the past few days. I'll be catching up with them soon.
