Glencorse Reservoir

In the end we chose the Flotterstone Inn for our belated birthday family lunch, and very good it was - excellent food and good service.
We cut quite a dash on our walk up to the reservoir, with the Flumlet on his scooter, Miss Flum on a recumbent cycle, watching the progress of the several fishermen as they drifted over the water.
To finish we had tea and cake at the cafe in the Information Centre, (also very good) and then went home and, in my case, took a nap.
That's one of the nicest birthdays ever, well worth waiting for.
