I thought I was mistaken
We had the loveliest morning at the allotment.
There was no one else there when we arrived at 9. We sat and had breakfast, and then harvested.
Peas, Beans, French Beans, Raspberries, Beetroot, Potatoes, One Wee Courgette, Carrots, Cabbage, Sweet Peas.
I weeded round my lovely leeks. Oh I am so going to have the best leeks this year, and then together we uncovered the onions, (to make them brown don't you know), and then dug up the shallots.
Then we came home, via mam's where we dropped off the sweet peas and some beans, and himself cut the grasses and I weeded the drive. It is such a long drive. We used to have three cars parked there. It took me nearly two hours, But boy, it's weeded.
Then we showered (Separately), and I combined cleaning the bathroom with mine. Then we shopped. Then we ate, our potatoes, our cabbage and carrots and onion in a salad. Himself froze the beans and the peas.
I grated the courgette and made a lemon and courgette cake. It's sitting in the kitchen just now, cooling, whilst absorbing the lemon drizzle. oh my heavens the smell is to die for.
Himself pickled the beets, and left me 176g out to make a beetroot and chocolate loaf.
Now we are exhausted.
Now we are ready for bed.
Don't waste a moment.
