First light in #Casentino with notched Monte Penna (4,209ft) site of the La Verna sanctuary and St Francis’ receipt of the stigmata (1224).

400 recorded receivers of stigmata. Not all saints and much dispute over the claims.

I found the emerald green eyed cattle fly was fairly effective at giving minor stigmata along with crepuscular and tiger mosquitoes.
