Bell Stane
Not that this is the Bell Stane, which appears to have been a standing stone near the position of the Mercat (=market) Cross, which stood at the junction of the High Street and The Loan, and the bell that was rung to open the market, but an adornment on a house in the area named after it.
Again, I cannot provide details, for example of the significance of the owl, but I have often admired the intricate carving of his startled expression.
