A reunion

I got a message on Facebook that Lori and Marge were going to be at the Saturday market, so we thought we'd try to meet up with them.  We agreed to be on the lookout for each other.  We walked around the market and the girls looked at the vendors' booths while I'll watched for Lori and Marge.  No luck.  We walked all around the park.  No luck.  Finally I said that I gave up, and we sat down in the shade.  A woman sat down beside me, rather close, but I was talking to the girls so I just ignored her.  She poked her head in front of mine, and it was Marge!  They had been sitting on a bench and saw us. It was so great to see them!  Marge babysat our daughter R before she started Kindergarten, and G and I taught with her ex, Helge.  Lori is a year younger than R and her sister Roni is a year older.  I haven't seen Marge for several years and she's never met K'n'K.  The girls had met Lori and Roni when they came with us to Helge's birthday party 7 years ago.  It was just fantastic to catch up, although we didn't have much time.  Marge lives up north, so the next time she comes to visit Lori in Victoria, we'll get together for a long visit.
We went to the golf club for dinner after the tournament that G played in.  The girls got plenty of attention! They had a good time meeting many of G's golf buddies.  The buffet was excellent.  It was a fun event and great to have the girls with us.
