Chapter drawing to a close

This morning was Alexander’s last playgroup. We enjoyed the annual picnic in the church grounds and had fun completing the treasure hunt. It was quite emotional when it was time to go home. We said our thank yous to Alice and Malcom who keep the group running and to all our friends that we’ve made over the years.

This evening it was Phoebe’s turn for her last ever Rainbows. I was invited to stay along with Alexander, to help facilitate the end of term activities. I was on the sandwich making station. I helped the girls to butter their bread, fill with either jam or ham, pour some squash and even to wash up after themselves! I had really good fun and I think all the girls (and Alexander) enjoyed it too. Phoebe had made a card for her group leader. They had a big hug and phoebe received her Pot of gold badge. Onwards and upwards to Brownies now!
