A rare spot
The sun continued to beat down on Cambridge and its residents. During a day spent indulging (whilst still being mindful of food richness and creaminess) outdoors with friends, I felt a couple of spots of rain. The UK no longer experiences precipitation, so this felt very strange.
The afternoon was in Dan and Joey's garden in Girton, during which they kept me liberally supplied with food, and gin, purely for medicinal purposes. They're great friends because they are interested in the nitty gritty of people's very different life experiences. We had some very frank discussions, and I hope people in neighbouring gardens were inside escaping from the heat. We can be very loud after a few gins.
