A panel has gone up in the community orchard explaining the different trees which have been planted. There are apple, pear, cherry, plum and damson trees. Anyone is free to pick the fruit so long as it is for personal use.

Last night as we walked here at dusk, we were treated to a display of hunting from a barn owl which flew out across the field from a large oak tree. It was such a special experience to watch it peacefully gliding over the ground scanning along the hedge lines for prey, and every so often diving down into the grass.
