Rough ground

We set off very early and made good progress until we got to Paris. I had forgotten that yesterday was Bastille day and people were returning from visits no doubt. I had assumed that with the World Cup final the streets would be deserted. Still we arrived in Orleans early in the evening to our very basic accommodation. No matter as it is only to rest our weary heads for a few hours.
