Open Garden Day

Today was Open Garden Day for a house in our village, as part of the National Garden Scheme. A couple of weeks ago there were several gardens open on the same day, and a planned route,  but unfortunately it was the one and only day when the heavens opened so they did not have as many visitors as they had expected. 
This was a stunning garden - lots of little areas and nooks and crannies where people could (and did) sit. Also, excellent tea and cakes - although I managed not to eat any cake after all the food yesterday.
