Bright white

I think that's the translation of this bird's name. Am beginning to think it's more of a black-headed gull than a tern, but it's very lovely anyway.

D went off to catch the boat at sparrowfart as usual. I had to go to the opticians for the annual check-up; no new prescription needed this time, hurray! (Means the eyes are in reasonable shape and also saves me a small fortune....) Had to stare at a lot of bright white lights!
