What a difference a few days make! 5 days ago (July 7th) I blipped these blackbirds when they had newly hatched. Now they are beginning to look like blackbirds, changing from fluff to feather. I counted 4 of them on my very quick visit..

At work today we were joined by Zsòfi, a 17 year old girl from Northern Hungary who is here on a visit as our Presbytery is twinned with one in Debrecen. She spent a day with us, helping to make and serve drinks and to clear tables. Everyone enjoyed the chance to meet someone from another country. We also had a customer from Brazil, she lives in the south of the country and said it was 4-5 degrees C there just now. She was on her way to Skye so Zsòfi and I walked with her to the station. This is why the catering industry is rightly part of Hospitality.
