Day 6 - It Is All About Travel.

I woke to a blister worth at least £4  ---  at least the diameter of a £1 coin and protruding at least 4 coins high.
It got lanced before we went and got on a train to Messina - for no other reason than to see the coast from a different viewpoint than the much higher and slightly inland road.
The station hasn't changed since the 1920's (apart from the addition of power lines for the trains) ….. there are old photos of the station hanging in the hotel.
So we went to Messina, bought a coffee and came back again.

It was a very tasty seafood lunch on the waterfront whilst looking at the Gin Palaces which have arrived for the annual film festival in Taormina next week.
Afterwards we went for a paddle in the Med before heading back to the hotel to spend time in the pool.
