2018 Wednesday — Foto of the Day

There it is . . . the foto of the day! Taken at the intersection of afternoon and evening at 5:09 p.m. There’s an explanation for this fog . . . something about the difference in temperature between the warm air and the cold water. This is summer on California’s Central Coast; holy taco, it feels like and looks like . . . winter.

So, just for the fun of it I whipped-up homemade tuna-salad sandwiches mid-afternoon. Is it okay to declare they were outta-this-world delicious? I hope so because that’s what I’m claiming. And Mr. Fun is willing to provide supporting evidence to my claim (after all, he ate 2 1/2 sandwiches to my 1 1/2). The sandwiches were good with white tuna, vegan mayonnaise, finely diced onion, and thinly sliced and chopped celery, and then a heaping spoonful of sweet pickle relish mixed in because that’s what Mom taught me to do, and all of that slathered on whole grain organic bread and then sliced into two halves. If that doesn’t spell d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s. then I’m cuckoo!

Yes, this has been a gray July day. But “D-lite-ful” landed smack-dab in the middle of the afternoon; however, it did spoil our evening appetites. What a dilemma!
