2018 Tuesday — Port San Luis
Photo : at Mersea’s Seafood Restaurant
When I spend an afternoon moment like this looking at a western port, out an open window, I remind myself to study this view, to memorize it.
Somewhere in the future, I’ll have longing thoughts for this scene . . . when the ocean breeze touched my skin, when the only music sounded like young parents dining with their kids and couples quietly conversing; when birds gliding, waves splashing, and boats swaying were the motions making pictures on my mind’s screen.
In a couple months autumn days in the classroom will occasionally need this window memory to soften and soothe an academic act.
Slowly the days are getting shorter now.
