For Sale
It was the Livingston Craft Assosciation's annual sale today.
I arrived pretty early to help get set up and found that the janitorial staff had put out all the tables last night (we had been told that would not be happening this year). All staff have been brilliant since we moved the event to St Margarets.
The only problem I have with them is the catering staff (Yes - there is even catering) torture us with the smell of bacon for ages before they open for buisness.
They have us all salivating like Pavlovs' dogs.
The afternoon was really quite quiet but I still did better than I have done for the last couple of years ...... smaller items costing less.
Loads of people say how much they love the big platters but feel they are either too big or too expensive (they really aren't expensive people....)
I think it is generally agreed that people just don't have the money to spend - but they do like the idea of individual, hand made items.
One of the members gave me a present for LML which he had made for her .......... a childs jigsaw of her name.
He did the same after the Cygnet was born (and also for one of the other members grandson). He is a really nice man - and amazingly talented
