Pumpkin

Went up to the allotment for what has become the daily watering session (although missed yesterday due to being out enjoying ourselves). Took a few photos of things (eg some of the poorly tatties) to show D as he had too much to fit into his day before going back to the island tomorrow. The pumpkin he planted in the top of the compost heap has recovered from an early set back and is looking good!

Then we went round to the Ship on the Shore for a sumptuous lunch with Arclight and Mr A, who have returned from Helsinki (and haven't yet left for Australia!). They gave me a beautiful bird made from blown glass - looks like an arctic tern to us, although the Finnish name on the box just seems to translate as 'bright white'. It'll no doubt feature in a future blip.
